Yes, of course! As long as you're studying in a Malaysian university or college, you can apply to our Work & Travel program. We accept full-time diploma, degree or post-graduate students. Provided you meet all the eligibility requirements.

Yes, of course! As long as your registration happens before your last semester (not convocation ceremony), you are eligible for our program.

From our experience, Malaysian university students speak good English. For our Work & Travel program, applicants should be at least conversational in English. Rest assured, we would screen your English level & recommend jobs that you feel most comfortable with.

Of course! You have the say in this process. You can share your location & job preferences with us. Then we would contact potential employers to find the best match for YOU.

We recommend enough money to cover your expenses for a week or two. This is because you may only get your first pay check 1 or 2 weeks after your first day of work. So, enough money to cover initial expenses such as rental, housing deposit and meals.

Your medical insurance or work compensation benefits would cover any work-related injuries or sickness.

Well, your medical insurance would kick in :) We ask all applicants to buy a medical insurance policy before going to the US. So this insurance would cover any accidents or illness when you're on our Work & Travel program. For the details on insurance coverage, please refer to the insurance policy that you signed/will be signing during your application.

We have dedicated staff in the US organisations that can answer all your Work & Travel questions. Their information would be provided during your orientation, before you fly to the US.

Like your Malaysian IC number/national ID, you would have a Social Security Card in the US. Your Social Security Card would have your Social Security Number (SSN). You'll need your SSN for tax purposes, identification and also other purposes relating to your J-1 visa (Work & Travel Program). Most importantly, you will use yourSSN to open a bank account in the USA, to deposit your pay checks.

Like your national ID card & passport, it's very important to keep your SSC safe! Social Security Numbers are frequently misused in cases of identity theft. Please report to the local authorities immediately when you lose your SSC!

Yes!. You would need to file federal and state taxes, which depends on your location. Everyone who works in the USA needs to pay taxes. For your information, the tax filing season generally starts on January the following year. Rest assured, we will provide further guidance on how to do so, when the time comes.

Based on your assigned job in the USA, some employers provide free housing! But, some employers don't. You have the freedom to live in any housing that is nearby your work site.

Nope. Most participants either pay housing rent from their wages or enjoy free housing from their employers.

It really depends on your job location: by state & the town you're in. Rest assured, we will inform you of the housing cost when we show you potential jobs. You can plan accordingly.
